2. Effects At Specific B.A.C. Levels
The effects of alcohol intoxication are greatly influenced by individual
variations among users. Some users may become intoxicated at a much
lower Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) level than is shown.

3. Maternal Smoking Causes Blood-Pressure Rise Among Babies

4. JUST THE FACTS:
- Alcohol is linked with an estimated 5,000 deaths in people under
age 21 each year – more than all illegal drugs combined.
- Sixty-five percent of underage youth who drink reported
obtaining alcohol from family and friends.
- Adolescent drinkers perform worse in school, are more likely to
fall behind, and show increased risk of social problems, depression,
suicidal thoughts, and violence.
- Any administrator, teacher, coach, or individual, as well as the
school could be held accountable if an underage drinking incident
occurs that is related to a school program or event.

5. Quitting With EX
“Hope is not a strategy,” goes the old saying. And with the EX Quit Plan
program, you will definitely not be relying simply on hope. You’ll be
approaching the whole process of quitting like the battle it is. You’ll
marshal every ally you have to be at your side; you’ll study yourself
and your smoking behaviors; and you’ll surround yourself with people who
support you and your new behaviors that will take place of the old ones.

6. The War on Drugs is Still a War on Blacks
Recent surveys of drug habits among Americans found that blacks and
whites use drugs at equal rates, yet blacks are more often prosecuted
because the laws are biased against them.

7. FREE: Manual Introduces Juvenile Offenders to
Community Service Learning
Recently updated and revised, "Giving Back: Introducing Community
Service Learning" provides skill-building strategies and materials to
introduce juvenile offenders to fundamental concepts of community and
community problems.
Developed by the Constitutional Rights Foundation and the Constitutional
Rights Foundation Chicago through a grant from the Office of Juvenile
Justice and Delinquency Prevention, the manual is a useful resource for
youth courts and other juvenile justice agencies seeking to apply
school-based learning methods to court-mandated community service.
