2. Feeling Pressured Quiz
There is a lot of pressure in high school. In most cases, it's the
pressure to go along with the crowd to do what they do or even look how
they look. Sometimes it's hard to stand up for yourself and go against
the grain. But it's exactly at this moment in time that you can define
yourself and let others know who you are and where you stand.
Are you above the influence when it comes to pressure? Take this quick
quiz to see how much you're affected by pressure.

4. JUST THE FACTS:
- Adolescents who abuse alcohol are three times more likely to
commit violent offenses than those who do not drink to excess.
- Youth aged 12-17 who reported violent behaviors in the past year
also reported higher rates of past year alcohol use compared with
youths who did not report violent behavior.
- 65.9% of those youth reporting heavy alcohol use, 56.8% of those
reporting binge drinking, and 43.7% of those reporting past 30-day
use of alcohol had also engaged in one or more of the following
delinquent behaviors: participating in a serious fight at school or
at work; participating in a group-against-group fight; attacking
someone
with the intent to seriously hurt them; stealing or attempting to
steal something worth $50 or more; selling illegal drugs; and/or
carrying a hand gun within the last year.

5. Incarcerex
Do your elected officials get a little crazy around election time? Do
they seem worried that they haven't done enough to win voters' trust and
ensure another term? They might be suffering from Chronic Re-Election
Paranoia (CREEP).
Maybe they've been taking
Incarcerex.

6. Teachers Guide: Not
In Our House
Not in Our House: A Nationwide Initiative on Underage Drinking and
Social Hosting is a program
developed to raise awareness of illegal underage drinking and social
host laws in communities throughout the United States. Schools’ language
arts teachers are an integral part of this nationwide program. These
national standard-based classroom materials will help to challenge 9th-
and 10th-grade students oral and written communication skills, while
also helping students transform their newfound knowledge into advocacy.
