1. Health Effects of
Smoking
As you know from the warning labels on cigarette packages, "cigarette
smoking may be hazardous to your health." This has to rank as one of the
most profound understatements in human history. Follow the map and learn
how smoking affects your body.

2. Common Myths About Smoking
The problem with warning labels is that they're short -- far too short
to give you the complete picture of what cigarettes can do to your body.
To give you all of the facts you need about cigarette smoking, it would
be necessary to have a warning label the size of a book!

3. New Non-medical Users of Prescription Pain Relievers
Outnumbered New Marijuana Users Between 2002 and 2004
Misuse of prescription drugs is second only to marijuana as the nation’s
most prevalent drug problem, and the annual average number of people
using pain relievers non-medically for the first time exceeds the number
of new marijuana users according to a study released today by the
Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). Most
young people aged 12 to 17 get these drugs from friends or family
members, not the Internet.

Behavior
Exposure to tobacco company youth-targeted smoking prevention
advertising generally had no beneficial outcomes for youths.
Exposure to tobacco company parent-targeted advertising may have harmful
